Yasmin Williams draws inspiration from a wide range of artists—from Chuck Brown to Jimi Hendrix—and began developing her innovative fingerstyle acoustic guitar technique while studying at NYU. Her recent work expands musical horizons and instrumentation, adding kalimba, kora, harp guitar, and banjo to her inimitable guitar playing. A Nonesuch Records artist, Williams defies genre labels, creating exploratory music without boundaries.
