Los Vega are among the leading performers of son jarocho, the traditional music of southern Veracruz, which blends Indigenous, African, and Spanish Baroque influences. Celebrating their 20th anniversary, this intergenerational ensemble performs on jarana jarocha—a consort of many-sized guitars—while singing nostalgic, hypnotic, and joyfully humorous songs.
