Jontavious Willis reinvigorates today’s blues with the spirit of the past. Born and raised in rural Georgia, the Grammy-nominated artist performs original, toe-tapping tunes in the styles of Delta, Piedmont, Texas, and Gospel blues. Willis has been hailed by blues legend Taj Mahal as a “wonder boy,” and Blues Blast Magazine praised his “uncanny skills on the acoustic guitar,” calling him “a master of open-tuning fingerpicking techniques.” This concert draws from songs on his latest album, West Georgia Blues.
