The Balourdet Quartet and Terra String Quartet are two of the most dynamic young ensembles on today’s chamber music scene, and co-recipients of the St. Lawrence Seminar’s 2025 John Lad Prize. Balourdet has been called “brilliant” by The New York Times and received an Avery Fisher Career Grant, as well as Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award. Terra won the 2025 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition, in addition to top prizes at the Bordeaux, Wigmore Hall, Melbourne, and Osaka competitions.
