Aga Khan Master Musicians is a collective spanning traditions from the Mediterranean to Asia. The lineup: Wu Man is a world-leading player on the pipa (Chinese lute), Syrian-born Basel Rajoub has developed an entirely new repertoire for the saxophone, Feras Charestan is a master of the qanun (Middle-Eastern zither), Yurdal Tokcan is an authority on oud (Turkish lute), and Abbos Kosimov is a virtuoso on the doira (Uzbek frame drum).
