8th Annual Fall Bike Fest will feature two guided bike rides, a bike rodeo, free bike checks, local bike vendors, bicycle clinics, contests, a food truck, and other fun activities.
We will have two bike rides at the festival, a short route for families with younger children, and a longer route for older, more experienced cyclists. Both rides are open to families of all ages; however, riders under the age of 18 will need a waiver from an adult. The bike rides are chaperoned by experienced cyclists and will start and end at Cupertino City Hall. This starting location will allow riders to participate in the bike rodeo both before and after the rides.
The rodeo will consist of a bicycle skills course with obstacles and ramps to teach young riders how to ride safely. Local bike shops and vendors will be at the festival selling safety gear and letting participants demo various types of bikes: kid bikes, electric bikes, and cargo bikes for carrying kids and groceries. Other fun activities include bike decorating, face painting, and blender bike smoothies. There is no need to RSVP for this free event, just make sure to bring a bicycle, helmet, and arrive early enough to sign a waiver!
