Visitors to Silicon Valley can experience an exceptional range of performing arts through Stanford Live, which presents more than 100 performances each year. From classical music and contemporary dance to live concerts and theater, Stanford Live brings together world-renowned artists and exciting emerging talents on the Stanford University campus.
Performances take place in several iconic venues, including Bing Concert Hall, The Studio, and Frost Amphitheater. Each season spans both classical and contemporary genres across music, dance, and theater, offering something for every arts enthusiast.
Bing Concert Hall is an architecturally striking, oval-shaped venue with 842 seats arranged in a vineyard-style configuration. Audience seating surrounds the stage in terraced levels, creating an intimate and immersive concert experience.
Frost Amphitheater, an outdoor venue with a capacity of approximately 8,000 people, hosts events in a variety of seating configurations. General admission performances typically have no chairs, except in designated ADA sections, while reserved-seating events feature chairs with assigned seats for ticket holders.
Beyond performances, Stanford Live is deeply committed to community engagement. Its educational programs serve K–12 students, providing meaningful opportunities for learning, participation, and discovery through the arts.
When attending an event, visitors can use 450 Jane Stanford Way for general campus navigation. For the most accurate directions, however, it’s best to enter the specific venue address into your GPS.
